Our Partnership Approach and Principles
The Digital Citizen Fund (DCF) partners primarily with women-led organizations and academic institutions in the Global South that share our mission of expanding women and girls’ access to education, technology, and entrepreneurship as pathways to financial independence.
DCF does not simply fund others’ programs. Instead, we collaborate closely with partners, with each party contributing distinct strengths, resources, and expertise. DCF’s contributions may include funding, technological tools, workshops or mentorship, curriculum development, global visibility, or shared learning, depending on the needs of each initiative and the capabilities of each partner. We view every partnership as a two-way relationship where we learn together and jointly iterate solutions that can evolve over time.
When financial support is part of a collaboration, DCF seeks to promote transparency and fairness by issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP). Whenever possible, RFPs will clearly outline the specific criteria used to evaluate all proposals. We strive to keep our application and reporting requirements clear, streamlined, and proportionate to the scope of our support.
How to Apply for DCF RFPs
All applicants to a DCF RFP must first submit a brief organizational profile through our simple online form. Only organizations that closely match the goals of an open RFP will be invited to submit a full proposal and participate in due diligence.
This two-step process is designed to respect partners’ time by ensuring that only those whose organizational profiles best fit the program’s needs are asked to draft a full proposal. Final partnership decisions are based on mission and program alignment, organizational capacity, and due diligence.
While DCF is always open to exploring new strategic partnerships, we do not accept unsolicited requests for funding. Submitting an organizational profile is the best way to be considered for current or future partnership opportunities that involve funding.
If submitting your organizational profile for a specific RFP, please be sure to closely review the eligibility requirements and scoring criteria outlined in the RFP to which you are applying. These may vary by program.
